Adult Religious Education

Exploring Unitarian Universalist Practice

Our core program consists of four adult religious growth and learning courses. These four curriculums are designed to integrate newcomers and members into our congregation and train our leaders in the practice of our faith.

The four UU Practice courses are:

  1. Introduction to Our Church: Three sessions for newcomers, members and friends who wish to learn more about our church and the Unitarian Universalist Association.
  2. Faith Explorations: Five sessions exploring Unitarian Universalist history, how we practice UUism in community today, and our personal beliefs or credos.
  3. Life Journey: six to nine sessions exploring our biographies and growing edges.
  4. Calling: seven to ten sessions exploring personal calling and group and community development.

The courses are not required but newcomers are encouraged to take Introduction to Our Church prior to joining the church and members are urged to join or form a "UU Practice Group" to undertake the Faith Explorations, Life Journey and Calling courses.
